Meet The Team at RS Podiatry Clinic

Mr Rick Cheema

Director
Musculoskeletal, Biomechanics & Sports Podiatrist BSc.Hons Podiatry, PgCert, RCPod, HCPC. Reg.

Hello!

I’m Rick, the Clinical Director and lead podiatrist here at RS Podiatry Clinic in Meriden. I specialise in diagnosing and treating painful foot, ankle and hip conditions — not just in athletes, as people often assume, but in anyone whose daily life is being limited by discomfort whether they are active or not.

My approach blends current sports medicine research with biomechanics, rehabilitation, and functional movement. I have a particular interest in chronic or persistent pain and always aim to treat the person, not just the problem – tailoring care to suit individual goals, lifestyles and needs.

This area of podiatry is personal for me, too. In the past, I’ve experienced heel pain and running-related injuries, along with some of the challenges that can come with a flatter foot type. I know how frustrating it can be to feel held back when injured—and what it takes to get back on track, both physically and mentally. Keeping a positive, focused mindset and coming back stronger is something I believe in deeply, and something I aim to help my patients achieve.

I love exercising and given any opportunity I’m usually in the gym, on a run or playing 5- or 7-a-side football.

Above all else I’m most content spending time with my wife and our kind-hearted, curious 4-year-old daughter—who already insists she’s going to “fix patients like Dadda”. It’s a busy life, but one I’m very grateful for.
