Meet The Team at RS Podiatry Clinic

Mr Rick Cheema

Director
Musculoskeletal, Biomechanics & Sports Podiatrist BSc.Hons Podiatry, PgCert, RCPod, HCPC. Reg.

Hello!

I believe that no one should feel defined or limited by foot, ankle, or leg pain. When discomfort affects how you move, work, exercise, or simply get through the day, it can take far more than a physical toll. Helping people regain confidence in their bodies and return to the activities that matter to them is what drives my work.

I’m Rick, the Clinical Director and founding podiatrist at RS Podiatry Clinic in Meriden. I specialise in diagnosing and managing painful foot, ankle, hip, and leg conditions in people whose daily lives are being restricted by pain, whether symptoms have developed gradually, followed an injury, or persisted despite previous treatment.

Rick Cheema, Director and MSK Podiatrist

My clinical approach blends current sports medicine research with biomechanics, rehabilitation, and functional movement analysis. I have a particular interest in chronic and persistent pain, especially in cases where symptoms have failed to settle or keep recurring. I always aim to treat the person rather than just the affected area, tailoring care around individual goals, work demands, lifestyle, and long-term health.

This area of podiatry is meaningful to me because I’ve seen first-hand how frustrating it can be when pain disrupts training, work, or everyday life, even when someone is doing many things “right”. That perspective has shaped how I assess and manage injury, with a strong focus on education, realistic load management, and building resilience over time, rather than quick fixes or unrealistic expectations.

Outside of clinic, health and movement play an important role in my own life. I place a strong emphasis on overall wellbeing, mindset, and balance. Given the opportunity, I’m usually in the gym, out for a run, playing five- or seven-a-side football, or simply getting outside for a walk. I believe these habits support not only physical health, but also mental clarity and resilience.

Above all else, I’m most content spending time with my wife and our kind-hearted, curious four-year-old daughter, who already insists she’s going to “fix patients like Dadda”. It’s a busy life, but one I’m very grateful for.
